On your blog, answer the following questions. Please post by 4-29.
Do NOT plagiarize. Please summarize AND use citations. Provide enough detail!!!!!
1. Define/Describe trigonometry (2 pts)
2. Describe some of the early uses. Why was it invented? (3 pts)
3. Describe a current use of trigonometry. (3 pts)
Citations for each one above: 2 pts
4. Find the height of two objects outside. Explain your work. (5 pts)
*CHECK THAT YOU DID ALL 4 STEPS!!!!1. Trigonometry is math studying triangles and the angles and sides of a triangle.

2. Euclid and Archimedes looked at chords of angles and created formulas. Islamic mathematicians used trigonometry for spherical geometry. Used for astronomy.

4. Light pole- 7ft from the pole and the angle was 60 degrees. My eyes are 59 inches from the ground. This means that tan(60)=x/7 ----->the light pole is 12.12 feet tall.
Tree- We were 12 ft from the tree and the angle was 7 degrees. And it was 60 inches to our eyes from the ground. This means you would use tan(7)=x/12 -----------> the tree is 32.97 feet tall.
